Definitely Enid Blyton. I read every Famous Five, Secret Seven and Malory Towers book. She still endures to this day. Whilst searching for stock in my local charity shop, I came across 5 of the Famous Five books, in new paperback edition. I try to fool myself that I bought them to sell, but I will be sorely tempted to re-read them first, just to see if the old magic is still there!!
