On a recent trip to Wales, we stopped at a place called Bracelet
Bay. It was advertised as having a restaurant with stunning views
out over the sea and brilliant food. You know what it's like, these
places always talk things up and being in a "seaside" resort, we
didn't have any preconceived ideas of what the place would really
be like. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be an
understatement. The views were certainly spectacular, the
surroundings were informal yet comfortable, the menu was extensive
and the service excellent. We were made to feel welcome, despite
the fact that we had been out all day and probably didn't look our
best. The food when it arrived was hot and the portions were huge.
The service was good, despite the place being full and it certainly
made a good end to the day. Castellamare certainly got a big
"thumbs up" from me.
